Best British Skin Care Brand: Aurelia
We have used Aurelia since being gifted one of their products in the Selfridges Beauty Advent Calendar a few years ago and are now firmly hooked to the probiotic qualities in everything they produce. I know this is less important to some, but the products smell exquisite and are a joy to apply to your face and neck, I can sometimes just stand for a moment taking it all in and smiling.
Like most women, my skin is dehydrated and I can be sensitive to products with too many chemicals in them. Aurelia has not given me any problems and it’s worth reading the science link on their website to help you trust the technology and thought applied into their skin care.
Don’t tell too many people, but Aurelia are currently having their biggest Winter Sale at the moment. Be quick, as some of the products are already selling out. Even without a sale, the products are very reasonably priced and delivery is free in the UK. Here are our favourites from this fabulous British Brand.
Let’s start with a Cleanser. Aurelia’s Miracle Cleanser is divine. The reviews speak for themselves but this product is consistently also recommended by beauty experts like Sali Hughes, models and actors. If you are a woman over the age of 35 and want to see real results in the condition of your skin, then you need to start cleansing at night with a cream cleanser and hot cloth. The results will be so fabulous you will never look back.
Next up is the first Aurelia product I ever used. It is the Revitalise Glow Serum with Jasmine, Plumeria, Tuberose and Mandarin. Is there any word in that description that isn’t divine? This serum is a pleasure to apply and is made for savouring. I always apply a serum before moisturising and there are plenty reasons for doing so, not least because it will allow your next cream to sink into your face with better effects. If you need a starter product, then this is the one. Aesop produce something very similar at twice the price and not nearly as effective.
Finally, we have the Probiotic Concentrate. I won’t use this every day but will often pop a couple of drops into my moisturiser on days when my skin is looking a bit dull. The results are excellent. I would use this every day but because everything else keeps my skin in good nick, this can be used sparingly and made to last longer.
Enjoy!
