Fab 4: vitamin C serums to make you glow
Have you heard of vitamin c beauty serums? Are you already using them as part of your morning routine?
Apart from ingesting vitamin c to boost immune health it is also now being recommended for topical application for a number of benefits: brightening and evening out skin tone for that glowing-from-within look and the newer vitamin c serums also act as an exfoliator.
So let’s name and fame some then!
The La Roche-Posay Pure Vitamin C serum with exfoliating salicylic acid is fab. It’s not the cheapest at around £29 but it’s almost two products in one, you can find it here to spend your Boots points.
The cheapest vitamin c serum I have tried and still return to is Garden of Wisdom Vitamin C 23% + Ferulic Acid Serum £10 buy it here. With such a generous amount of vitamin c, if you find better value for money than this please leave your top tips in the comments below. Garden of Wisdom’s vitamin c serum is smooth and light so it doesn’t add a grease factor as you go about your day.
If you’re in the market to splash the cash, I recommend the Murad Vita-C Glycolic Brightening serum, £72 for 30ml isn’t cheap but it did give amazing results. You can find it here. The Murad serum is fragrance-free and also free from artificial colour. It definitely made my skin feel brighter and gave almost an instant glow thanks to the high tech formula but at that price I confess I thought twice about buying it again.
I also love the Body Shop’s Vitamin C Skin Boost Instant Smoother £17 which you can buy here. The all natural ingredients have a feel-good factor and this genuinely smooth formulation also includes fair trade Brazil nut oil.
If you’re using one that you love and we didn’t include it leave a comment!
