Mandy: genius, surreal or farce?

Linus Roache as you’ve never seen him.

Nicholas Cage is quite an actor. I wouldn’t go out of my as a fan to watch a movie he was in, however, every movie I have watched that he starred in has been throughly enjoying and Mandy is no different. It retains the edge of an independent film despite the Hollywood A-lister hero and well established cast.

Mandy is a revenge, horror movie set in the 80s, taking us into psychadelics, a cult and more. I didn’t know anything about it when I watched it with friends (how quaint given the year of lockdowns and social distancing we have had!) so I won’t spoil it for you.

An ode to iconic horror flicks, it is a delight to watch. Bravo to hair and make up too.

You can catch it on Amazon Prime.
