The best tinted moisturisers
The best tinted moisturisers are perfect all year round. Hot Summer days make wearing foundation and an additional layer of sun protection feel so heavy.
We really hit the jackpot with our favourite tinted moisturiser, Origins Ginzing with SPF 40 already blended in. It smells divine and the texture is lovely. A little goes a long way, it isn’t cheap but a tube easily lasts 6 months even with daily application.
Those are the plus sides, however, one major negative is that there is only one shade available which provides coverage up to olive skin tones. Quite retrograde to target such a narrow demographic!
Thankfully, there are other amazing brands like Glossier and Nyx.
Glossier skin enhancer ingredients include diamond powder for a soft-focus effect and glycerin to moisturise skin.
For a more budget friendly option and if you are still undecided whether a tinted moisturiser would give you enough coverage we would recommend Nyx Skin Veil infused with aloe and cucumber, this moisturiser feels light on the skin and leaves a smooth, satin finish.
Even though these are moistursers we feel that they go on better if you first wear your regular serum and moisturiser but we’re in our 40s and therefore need the layers!
