I took a short break after a long London lockdown all the way up to Edinburgh. A true Scottish Summer’s day like today started cloudy with sporadic rain, grey skies gradually bursting into sunshine. I spent the morning at the glorious botanic gardens and remebered that only a few streets away there was a gourmet marshmallow shop! That was exactly what I needed.

My nephew and I put our face masks on and entered the magical world of The Marshmallow Lady. There were so many flavours of fluffy, sugary delights to select from it was hard selecting. After Eight mint flavour, stawberries and cream, roasted almond, reverse rocky road…Luckily there was an offer of 3 bags of marshmallows for £12 so we opted for two bags of Top Hats (marshamllow blocks topped with Nutella chocolate and smarties) as my nephew said he wouldn’t share with me, cookies and cream marshmallows infused with generous chunks of Oreo cookies…and a bag of Strawberries and Cream marshmallow off cuts as I really wanted to taste them too.

The marshmallows are melt-in-the-mouth delicious and I highly recommend them. You can order bespoke ones infused with vodka for special occasions. Noted.
