You can take away a third of my face, but you'll never take away my lipstick!

Damn you, COVID-19! Did you like my paraphrasing of Braveheart’s lines?

This year we all lost a whole two thirds of our face, hidden behind a mask to protect ourselves and others from this awful virus. But. Did you stop using lipstick? We certainly didn’t and in turn we spent a few minutes each Sunday scrubbing our masks to remove the traces of our favourite lippies (and prevent maskne).

These are some of our favourite lipsticks and glosses, please share yours we’d love to discover more!

Pat McGrath, Blitztrance Fuchsia Perfect Lipstick

We went to the launch of Pat McGrath’s first make up concession in Selfridges where the legendary British make up artist waved and smiled at all her fans. The Blitztrance range has the most amazing pigment and multidimensional irridescent glitter. Over the top for some, this was my daily slick for months and still brings me oodles of joy.

Estee Lauder Creme, Seduce

This Estee Lauder lipstick is lighter and earthy when worn and it sits comfortably without too much lip balm.

Lancome L’Absolu Rouge Drama

Simply the most perfect shade of red. If you want to build the shade up starting light, dab it on with your fingers or apply directly for a sexy and dramatic red.
